Mixcraft hijacks my audio9/23/2023 ![]() ![]() UPDATE: They just returned it to me from the second warranty service. It's feature-rich, but it's not a product you can count on when there are musicians in the room ready to make music. If you need a product you can rely on, you should keep working. I've had two bad units and Presonus has been unable to get a functioning one in my hands I've spent my budget and am out a significant amount of cash. It was in repair for a month, and when they returned it to me, it was broken in a new way. I sent it in for warranty repairs (they're heavy, so it cost my $120+ out of pocket). The replacement unit arrived and functioned for two months. I returned my initial mixer because it was broken out of the box. Worse, Presonus isn't able to handle repairs in a meaningful way. Not a reliable product Repair service is dismalĪs other reviewers have reported, quality control leaves something to be desired. They have a whole new line of Boards coming out soon but with support like this LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!! No one has ever answered! I am not sure they even have a technical team, but just a looping phone message. ![]() Over the last week I have spent three sessions waiting for technical support for an hour just to see what my options are for this 50 pound paper weight. Now it has the same problem that I read on forums that many others have with it in that it freezes from over heating after about a minute of playing. The most horrible support I have ever had!!ĭO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I owned this board for approximately 4 years and it never performed to expectations. If you are a techno geek with no musical ability stick with Reaper and ad some poorly made and poorly designed Presonus hardware and you'll be in geek heaven on the Cockos and Presonus forums giving people shit by telling them that the Reaper and Presonus shit not working is their fault or the fault of their computers. The engineer would complete his tasks sooner on Mixcraft. It should look something like this image but for your Behringer audio interface instead of for my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 interface. If a good audio engineer were to engineer a song using Mixcraft or any other top DAW you would not be able to tell the difference. Then you should be able to select ASIO in Mixcraft preferences and setup your audio interface. Plug the audio interface into your PC using the USB cable. Go to the Behringer website and download/install the most recent drivers for your audio interface. I'm really confused and not very good at tech, just want to get recording. I'm also confused about how the program picks up the interface - will it pick it up as if it's as mic (it seems to be doing that but there's no sound), or will it be registered as one of the instruments? I saw a similar post on here before and someone had said to click Preferances and then click Sound Device and ASIO but I'm unable to click ASIO, I can only click Core Audio or Wave. I have Mixcarft 8 recording studio and my audio interface is the Behringer U-phoria.
